Day 10 Finish, Day 12(?) Start

You heard right, I finished my Cedar Leaves Shawlette! Woohoo! I can’t believe it went so fast. And it looks amazing (and feels amazing too!)!

Cedar Leaf Shawlette - FINISHED

I just love how this came out, but it’s not a shawlette at all but a very long, thin scarf! It measured 86″ post blocking and 6.75″ at its widest point… so I’m calling it a scarf though it probably intended to be a shawlette all along, it just surpassed that goal and kept going, LOL!

I am still thrilled with it and my sister, who will be the lucky lucky recipient, will probably wear it as scarf more anyway. I think it’s the perfect Spring accessory!

Sorry for the not-so-great pictures… I’m in a hurry as I’m flying out at 7am to go to California for Stitches West! I am beyond excited and can’t wait to take classes, go to the market, and keep you all updated, of course! 😉 Because of this, I’m not sure if I will be able to finish my next Ravelympics project, though I hope to start it on the plane tomorrow (for those curious, it’ll be a Wast Side Shawl in a gorgeous Wollmeise!), but two shawls finished in 10 days is not that bad, so I will be proud of that! 😀

Good luck to all Ravelympians at this finish line of events! Keep knitting!

  1. Not doing the Ravelympics because I hate to knit on a deadline but I’m cheering everyone on as they cross the finish line.
    Love the scarf.

  2. Ohh, this is just beautiful Lina. I love the colourway and its subtle beauty, and the pattern is simple but really pretty – I am looking forward to knitting this one myself sometime in the not-too-distant future 🙂

  3. It’s gorgeous!
Two shawls in 10 days definitely deserves a gold medal. No gold medal for me, I just started the heel on my first Vilai sock. Perhaps my Olympic challenge should be amended to finishing one sock?!!?

Have fun at Stitches West. Can’t wait to hear all about it!

  4. Lina,
I’ve had to come back to this post several times now.
    I simply love this scarf.
It’s design with certainly enhanced with your choice of yarn color.
To me it looks like a wheat sheaf.
    So lovely.
