Post-Blizzard Day

Blizzard 12/21/2010 Day after

Up there is what the street below looked like after the snow stopped falling. We’ve had crazy snowfall for just under 24 hours of actual snowing time (no kidding!) but the wind is still blowing at 50mph gusts. Totally crazy and so so cold out there! Sorry about my pajamas reflected in the window, but I thought the picture still looked pretty cool with all the snow blowing around.

So what did I do today you ask? I didn’t take one step out of the building, that’s what! I relaxed and knit on an Effortless Cardigan that I cast on yesterday (it’s going really fast, if you can’t tell!):

Effortless Cardigan - WIP

It’s made out of MadTosh Tosh Worsted in Amber Trinket – such a beautiful color and love knitting with this yarn, so I’m excited to have another sweater made out of it! The pattern was a gift from a Gifting Exchange over at the Fiber Fix Ravelry group and it’s nice to finally be knitting for ME rather than for others. 🙂

I also hung out with the pups, who just laid by my feet while I knit… or on top of my knitting when I got up. 😉

I couldn’t resist doing a small photoshoot with them as well… they are so cute, no?

I just love lazy days like this! What did you all do this Monday?

  1. I love the Effortless Cardigan! That color is great so I’m sure it will be wonderful. I would really love to knit something for myself now. Hopefully in the upcoming month.

  2. After our crazy blizzard last February, I do not envy you all that snow! We’ve got a few inches on the ground, and I’m good with that. Though, I admit, a day of being snowed in is kind of fun now and then. Question, though…when you are snowed in, where do your doggies “go”? LOL Maybe that’s a silly question, but even when it snows at our house, we take Muffin out, even if it’s just to the edge of the walk. But for people who live in apartments in the city and don’t have a yard to go to, I just wonder what the pups do!

  3. I’d be staying in with that kind of weather, too! Be careful out there when you finally have to leave the comfort of home.

Love the color of the yarn you’re using for the Effortless Cardigan! Might need to get some for myself 🙂

Your dogs are adorable! Love the pictures of the two of them together!
