Sock 1 of 11 in 2011

I finished my first pair of socks for 2011 and am so happy to be right on point with doing 11 pairs in 2011. Just between you and me, though, I’m pretty sure that I will end up with more than 11 pairs when all’s said and done, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens! 🙂

Hedera Socks - FINISHED

Meet Hedera, the first sock in the Sock.Knit.Love KAL going on over on Ravelry. I had never knit this Cookie A pattern before but I was happy to see it was a very easy and quick knit, taking only two days for each sock.

And the yarn was a dream to work with! I’m actually a little sad that these socks are now my sister’s as it was my only BFL/Nylon blend and being from Fiberphile the color is just gorgeous. Not an easy one to let go of, let me tell you… and somehow I’m seeing a pattern here from my last post. Maybe I need to be a more selfish knitter? Hmmm…

  1. Lina, I’m dong the Knit-Sock-Love KAL on Rav.
I’m attempting to do finish Pointelle and Hedera by end of Feb for the KAL
This is my third time to knit Hedera. Great pattern lots of !!bang!! for just a four row repeat.
I’ve worn the other two pair ALOT !
Looks like 2011 is to be a SOCK year

  2. Lovely socks, but i take issue with your beautiful knitting bc YOU ARE AN ENABLER! This KAL sounds like a really fun idea bc I’ve only knit Monkey Socks but I have Cookie’s books and have always admired her patterns. btw, lucky sister!

  3. The socks and the yarn are just beautiful!
I have to confess that socks are not my favorite thing to knit but for this pattern I could make an exception. I’ll put it on my ravelry queue.

  4. Wow what gorgeous socks. No wonder you dont want to give them away, lol! What a very pretty color too. I love Cookie A’s socks but havent knit any as yet as they look very complicated. I am sure I will attempt some this year though!

  5. I love Hedera. That color is gorgeous! Your pictures always make me think I want a certain yarn- completely ignoring that I’m allergic to BFL, ha! 🙂
