Jurassic Park and an Interview

I am a huge fan of watching movies on the big screen outdoors (I LOVED drive-ins when I was a kid and am so sad that those are pretty much gone now) so when my sister and I found out that SummerScreen was going to be showing one of the best movies ever for the big screen at McCarren Park, we knew we had to go! I remember the first time I watched Jurassic Park in the theaters very vividly. I even remember where I sat with my mom and my sister while Spielberg weaved true movie magic right in front of me. So we packed up a big comforter, some wine and games and headed out to meet some friends. First, we played a lively game of Boggle.

Which somehow turned into a contest for who has the prettiest feet… hmmm…

The we ate yummy pizza and had a Cool Haus ice cream sandwich. Yum! I chose snickerdoodle cookie with mint chip ice cream. Double yum!

The crowd was very excited and the moon was almost full…

When the first dinosaur came out it was really cool!

It was awesome to see Jurassic Park with a huge group of people and laugh/cheer at how excited different people got at different scenes. Especially when the T-Rex came on the scene. Awesome!

Next up we are going to try to see The Godfather later this month. One of the best movies ever made on an outdoor screen? Count me in! 🙂

In other exciting news, I was actually interviewed by the lovely Deb of Interrobang Knits in her Knitters You Should Know series. I was way beyond flattered when she approached me to do the interview and was more than happy to answer her questions. The interview was done a while ago, I just hadn’t had a chance to blog it here (bad bad blogger that I am)! If you’re interested, check out the interview here and make sure to read all the other interviews she’s done so far! I’ve been having fun reading them and getting to know some awesome Rav personas through her blog! 😀
