I can’t believe that I’m making this post… but after 3 years, 7 months and 28 days (give or take a few days) of sitting around in a project bag, lonely and abandoned, the first Diamond Gansey Sock finally met his match! In the end I didn’t completely hate my first pair of toe-up [...] Holy crap, I can’t believe it’s been over TWO months since I’ve posted here! In my defense, I have been extremely busy the past two months with a bit of a project that will take me around 40 weeks to complete: Yup, there’s a baby growing in there and we are so excited about [...] It is the last day of 2010 and I’m feeling, honestly, a little relieved. Sure, 2010 had some great moments but overall it was a pretty sucky year for hubby and I (not between us, just life getting in the way) and we’re feeling ready to welcome 2011. I for one am hoping that 2011 [...] I think this is the first Christmas since I began my knitting obsession where I can safely say that I’m not stressed at all about gift knitting! I set out thinking that I would knit for a lot of people, then decided that wasn’t going to happen (it was, after all, only 5 weeks until [...] Why “back to?” Well, as it turns out, VAustralia (run by Virgin) does NOT allow knitting needles on board planes. Can you believe it? Not even small, blunt, circulars (which is what I was carrying). I was even threatened (not too nicely, might I add) with getting them confiscated, which made me grip the sock [...] |
