I haven’t updated in a while… my presentations went okay (at least they’re done and over with) and I’m vacationing with family here in California. It’s been cloudy and rainy (boo!), but we have managed to go walk around when the rain stops so it’s been pretty good. We were walking around Monterey near the ocean and got to see some really cute seals! Make sure to click on the pics and look at them large (click on the All Sizes tab on Flickr) as they look best that way:
And we also saw some Pelicans:
Of course, the main reason for us being here is for sweet little Hitchcock who we got to meet on Thursday! He is the cutest, sweetest, happiest puppy! His tail wagged non-stop the entire time we were with him – it was adorable! We are totally in love. Sadly, I forgot my camera at my mom’s house when we went up to see him (I was very sad about this) so I have no pictures of him as we’re going to pick him up on Sunday and he’s not here with us now. I will definitely take pictures of him on Sunday (and on subsequent days!), but here’s a picture of him with Kubrick – who’s face is all wet – taken by a friend:
I can’t wait to take him home to New York! We bought him some nice sweaters today to keep him warm… he’s a California boy, after all, and needs to get used to snow. 🙂
Also, I’m excited because I got a new close-up filter for my lens! It makes it much easier to get beautiful close up shots, here are two that I got of an orchid and of sweet Kubrick looking at me:
I don’t really have any knitting updates (sorry to my knitting friends) but I am more than halfway done with my Girasole blanket… I hope to finish it very very soon!!!
Hope your February is going well! 🙂
Aww, what a cute pair Hitchcock and Kubrick make!
I love your photos, I especially love the pelican, it’s a great capture!
love your pelican shot and what pretty puppies you have now 🙂
Wow – that Squishy face seal makes me smile, and the pelican is a great shot. Hope Hitchcock enjoys NY!
(Our dog was originally an Oklahoma dog, but she likes the snow here in Michigan…)
I’ve been knitting like freakin’ crazy. I’m getting a ridge in my index finger from where the yarn lays. lol.
I received my Karatstix order today!! I posted about it, if you wanna check it out when you have a sec. Thanks for the post about it, the stuff is great, so awesomely made!!
Seals are awesome creatures! I just love watching them.
Hitchcock looks like a great addition to your family!
Awwwwww!!! The seals, and the puppy, and the…. awwwww!!
