I am so excited about knitting up this pattern that I’m currently test knitting for Kristen of Knitting Kninja Designs. I’ve test knit for Kristen before and have always loved her patterns (Clothilde was one of the first shawl patterns I knit) and I’ve been waiting and waiting for her to finish up her new pattern Sunniva (I’m making the pattern in 3/4 length sleeves, which is one of the options she gives) so I could test knit it for her! And then I promptly hurt my thumb and wasn’t able to cast on until October 8th. But as soon as it was on the needles, I fell in love with the pattern even more and couldn’t put it down for long. I haven’t worked on anything else since! It’s my first time knitting a sweater top down and I’m really enjoying it! Although I don’t think it’s quite converted me to top-down knitting ONLY, it’s definitely made me want to make some more sweaters top down as well!
That picture was taken the day after Rhinebeck (where I bought the buttons you see above for it!) and since then I’ve actually finished the body in its entirety. It looks SO awesome, especially in the Wollmeise, that I can’t wait to finish the sleeves! I hope that it will be very very soon so I can show it to you guys and to the world as I plan on wearing this one a ton! 😀
What a gorgeous color! You are going to have an adorable top when you finish. I love the buttons you chose! So whimsical to put blue buttons on a red sweater.
Looks gorgeous! I agree that the colour is stunning. Happy knitting!
That’s going to be a beautiful sweater, that’s a gorgeous color!
That color is amazing! I favorited (faved? dunno which is correct! haha) Sunniva when I came across her project on Ravelry – it’s adorable. Can’t wait to see your finished version!
This looks very intriguing! And such a beautiful color.
What a gorgeous color. It’s going to be beautiful on you. Can’t wait to see it done.
Looks lovely! I really like the colour, and the buttons are beautiful! I love your photos 🙂
