Our first snow of the season hit us (I’m not counting the sprinkling we got a few weeks ago) and what a storm this is! It has been deemed a blizzard now and there are whiteout conditions out there – which I can totally attest to as hubby and I went to see a movie (pre-paid tickets, or else we would have waited until another day) and got to experience it first hand walking to and from the subway stop. The pictures aren’t the best since they are from a phone, but those streaks of white? That’s how fast the snow is falling!
And me, all bundled up!
Here are some pictures from when we got back in the house… as you can tell it’s pretty bad out there!
That lump of white in the upper middle of the picture? That’s a snowed in cab! And on the right is a cab driver spun out… I can’t even count the number of cabs we’ve seen driving sideways like this since then…
Since I’ve taken the pictures above I can’t even see the street below, it’s that bad! I hope if you are also experiencing this blizzard that you are safe inside and staying warm! I don’t think anyone should even attempt travel by car out there, it’s that bad!
And to leave this post on a more positive tone, Christmas Eve dinner at our house was wonderful and we had a blast. Good food and laughter with friends/family. What more could you ask for? 🙂
Hope your holidays are treating you well and Merry Christmas to those that celebrate it!
Merry Christmas to you, albeit a day late. Looks like it is pretty crazy over there. Stay warm!!!
Stay warm and safe. Knitting weather!
I love the b/w dinner shot. Glad you had fun:)
Oh wow! That looks pretty cold! I’m glad we didn’t get that storm over here. Stay warm 🙂
Glad to hear you are warm and safe in your blizzard. Much more conducive to knitting than our summery weather.
Oooh, I hope you have been keeping warm, since the big snow! Thanks for the comment on my sweater, I am wishing you a Happy Prosperous, Health New Year!
That was supposed to be: A Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year! Going for more coffee now. . .
That’s some pretty epic snow! We’re expecting a blizzard here in Minnesota later this week.
