So excited to announce that my new pattern is out! Nouveau Bohemia is a hat pattern with three styles – a beanie, a beret and an extra slouchy beret – that is perfect for those cold days we are having and for the cooler nights during the Spring! The pattern includes all three styles, so you literally can get three hats out of one pattern purchase. How great is that? π
The hats are all very quick and easy knits (you can make the beanie version in just a few hours of knitting!) but the lace and cable make it look a lot more complicated than it actually is.
From the pattern description: I enjoy wearing slouchy hats for their beauty and girly look but I find that I do still crave beanies when the weather is particularly cold and I want the comfort of a hat hugging my head. With this in mind I decided to make a pattern that you could make either as a beanie or a beret β the best of both worlds! Being a lover of hand dyed yarn, I also wanted to make a pattern that would work with both variegated and solid colors. Coincidentally (and happily!) I think that the pattern would also lend itself beautifully to handspun yarns. I knew I wanted this to be a fun and casual style β totally Bohemian! β using fine yarns that feel wonderfully soft on your head. Thus, Nouveau Bohemia: a rich Boho look for those who canβt give up decadent yarns but still love to look βartsy.β

I can’t wait to see other people’s iteration of the hat design! Especially variegated and handspun versions as I love my variegated ones. π

I’m seriously regretting my decision to stop knitting hats. These are all fab.u.lous.
Just purchased the pattern, they all look great!!
Yay!!! They’re all so beautiful! I’m really looking forward to knitting this, as soon as I decide what yarn to use! π Congratulations! It’s a gorgeous pattern! π
Congrats on another beautiful pattern! I love the colors that you chose for your prototypes, too bad you can’t wear them all at once bc they look so great together;) Guess what i’m going to knit next, after our SF KAL?!
I so LOVE hats…just purchased this…but it’ll be a bit before I start one…..gorgeous..
Oh they all look wonderful, I cant decide which one I like more.
They all look great – what a smart idea to make 3 different adaptations! All 3 yarns you chose are also lovely. That colorway of Rios! Oh my gosh. SO pretty.
Oh Man!!!! Can’t wait to cast on – looking at my fiber stash to pick the best one!
those are gorgeous – definitely going in my wish list of patterns!
